On 20th of August Carmel School conducted 2 days retreat for the catholic students of classes 6th to 10th. Fr. Rupesh Madtha, the director of YCS/ YSM of Mangalore Diocese, was the retreat preacher and Mr. Simon assisted him in music. The retreat began with a song of praise to God. The first talk was about thirst for God. It was a spiritual learning experience for all the students. Fr. Rupesh did a wonderful job in enlightening the students, on the importance of prayer and its negligence in our daily lives. The second session was on good and bad friendship. The students should consider Jesus as their ultimate friend and the parents are secondary. He advised them to know their friends well and be careful while choosing them.

On the second day, Fr. Rupesh beautifully explained us about the thirst of man for God in this materialistic world. Students were prepared for the sacrament of confession and after which they had the celebration of Holy Eucharist and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. As a conclusion, students voiced out their opinions about the faith formation and thanked father for his valuable time.
