Carmel School Proudly Celebrated 75th Anniversary of Independence Day disseminating  the colours of patriotism and unity
 
The School hosted exciting Intra School competitions from 11th to 13th August instilling the elixir of energy of independence, inspiration of warriors of freedom struggles, new ideas and pledges and elixir of Aatmanirbharta.
 
The students of Pre primary and Primary classes participated  enthusiastically in various competitions like recitation, clay modeling, fancy dress, western singing, patriotic singing and storytelling unveiling their area of special knowledge. And the students of higher classes set forth to display their aptitude in various spheres like Origami, Rangoli, Pick and speak, Western Singing and Patriotic Singing competitions.

On 13th and 14th  August  the National Flag was hoisted in the school premises to mark the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence and  due respect was paid by singing the National Anthem in one accord.

On 15 August, India’s 75th Independence Day celebration was initiated at St Ann’s Campus with the flag hoisting ceremony hosted by St. Ann TTI.               

The students of class 10 C displayed a cultural programme in the School Auditorium implanting the feeling of devotion, faithfulness, fervency, loyalty and steadfastness towards our nation in grandeur.

The program commenced invoking God’s blessings on the country and its citizens followed by a meaningful skit and a dance  depicting the sacrifice and patriotism of our freedom fighters. Significance of the day was enumerated by Muskan Kumari of grade 10C.

The program was presided by Mr.  Anil Dsouza, Ex- Military official, Indian Army , Sr. Sarika ,the Principal, Sr. Preena ,the Vice Principal .Sr.Shanthi Laveena.- The coordinator, Mrs Lavita D Souza –Member of the School Managing Committee. The chief guest was felicitated for his impeccable service and duty towards the nation as Havildar (gunner)

The chief guest in his message called upon the young citizens to take our nation forward towards success and establish peace in the nation.
 
The principal wished the staff and students cordially.

The School Anthem was sung in unison and then the sweets were distributed to the students as they moved out of the auditorium.
 
Through a classical dance the enthusiastic audience was greeted.
 
The program was compered by Apeksha C Bhat and Niharika Prashanth of Grade 10. Shaba Fathima expressed words of gratitude.
