“If you want to change the world, start with yourself” said Mahatma Gandhi

The students of Carmel School gathered togethered on 2 October 2022 in the school auditorium to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma

Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The programme commenced with the prayer service which included the reading of the Holy Scriptures. Floral tribute was offered to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji by Sister Sarika, the Principal, Sister Violette, the Administrator, Sister Preena the Vice Principal and Teacher Liffin Saldanha along with Brijesh the school Head boy and Janice the Head girl.

Jaishu and Ariana welcomed the gathering with their warm words of welcome. The significance of the day was highlighted by Gianna, Sumukh, Velrisha and Niharika.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The students performed a dance on the patriotic song followed by a skit that displayed the value ‘Truth never fails’ Teacher Liffin Saldanha in her message emphasized on the values inspired by the great leaders that is doing things right without any expectation of rewards, shunning revengeful thoughts, practicing forgiveness, and seeing God in one another to build a nation of peace and harmony. Devika proposed the vote of thanks.

Panchami, Shishir, Iqra, Aysha Rima, Fathima Thahani, Anvish and Mohammad Qais compered the programme. The programme was concluded with the National Anthem.
The students actively participated in cleaning their surroundings and classrooms as a part of Shramadhan.
