Carmel school, St. Ann’s Teacher Training Institute and St. Ann’s Pre Primary Training Institute celebrated their Annual Sports Meet 2018-19 on 3rd and 4th of December with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere.

The SPL Ms.Calida Lobo along with the band troop escorted the dignitaries into the portals of Police Parade ground. Sr. Maria Kripa A.C the joint secretary of St.Ann’s campus Institutions was the president. Mr.Vincent Colaco, the Assistant Commissioner for Income Tax was the chief guest . Fr.J.B.Crasta, Rector of Rosario Cathedral was the guest of honour. Mr. Raymond Patrao, the member of the school managing committee , Sisters of the provincial house, Principals of the campus Institutions along with Sr.Sarika A.C. principal of Carmel school, Sr. Shubha A.C. Principal of St.Ann’s teacher training institute and Sr.Rithika A.C. the Coordinator of St.Ann’s Pre primary teacher training institute were accorded a warm welcome.
Sr.Maria Kripa took the salute of the mesmerizing March past by his students of three Institutions . She also declared the sports meet open. The colourful ballons were released by the guest and the guest of honour.

The torch relay commenced then. It is a flame of hope, purity and the endeavour for perfection. Sports champs participated in the torch run.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The oath was pledged by the sports secretary Ms.Vaishnavi.

The ostentation of the spectacular display of drills by the students of KG, Class I , St.Ann’s TTI and St.Ann’s PPTTI. The audience were thrilled by the spectacular performances of our students.

The toppers from classes KG to 10 were hounoured by Fr.J.P.Crasta and Mr.Vincent Colcaco. Sr.Maria Kripa felicitated the parents who had represented sports at National Level. Mr.Prashanth Mendon, parent of Preetha P. Mendon won prizes at state Level masters aquatic contests and represented at National Level. Mr.Nagaraju parent of Leeladhar participated in All India Postal Wrestling Touranment held at Aurangabad. Sr.Maria Kripa in her presidential address encouraged the students to work hard and practice discipline which are the keys to success.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Varshitha, Ms. Prenisha, Ms. Nidhi, Ms. Muzaifa, Ms. Zainab compered the programme. Ms. Nishitha Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.After the Innaugural programme, various track and field events were conducted under the guidance of our Physical directors Mr.Karunakar and Mrs.Sachitha.

The valedictory programme began at 2.30 p.m. on 4th December. The school pupil leader Ms. Calida Lobo received the guest at the entrance of the Police Parade grounds. Sr.Rose Agnes A.C., the provincial Superior of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation as the president, Dr.Leo Francis Tauro,Surgeon, professor and the HOD of Fr.Muller Medical College Mangaluru as the chief Guest, Mr.Abdul Latheef the corporator as the guest of honor, Sr.Maria Kripa A.C. joint secretary of our Institurions along with Sr.Subha A.C., the Principal St.Ann’s Teacher Training Institute, Sr.Rithika A.C.the coordibnator of St.Ann’s Pre primary Teacher, Mrs.Lavita D’Souza the member of the school training managing Institute were accorded a warm welcome by our band troop trained by Mr.Vijay Olivera headed by Khatijathul Faheeema.

After the prayer Dance, the guests and the audience were welcomed by Sr.Lenita the vice principal . Students of class III displayed their talents with umbrellas class Iv With Bamboo Sticks, Class V And VI With Sarees And Class X By Zumba. Their attractive costumes and exquisite performance astonished the audience.

Sr.Maria Kripa A.C. and Mrs. Lavita gave away the individual championship prizes. The team prizes for throw ball, volley ball, kho kho and the best march past were awarded by our chief guest Dr. Leo Tauro. Founded prizes were awarded by Sr.Rose Agnes A.C. In her message she appreciated the students and the staff for their wonderful efforts. Sports being an integral part of our curriculum not only strengthens our body but also promotes holistic development. It was appreciated by all.

With due reverence, the school flag was lowered by Sr. Rose Agnes and the events of the sports day was symbolically concluded by Dr. Leo Tauro turned off the light at the cauldron.

Ms. Annika, Ms. Anshifa, Ms. Anvitha, Ms. Medini, Ms. Gayathri and Ms. Chrysanne compered the programme. Sr. Venitha A.C. proposed the vote of thanks. The sports meet 2018-19 came to an end by singing the National anthem.
